DC Water raised pressure by 22 psi across part of Ward 8 in 2018 because some customers there, especially on upper floors, had long had low water pressure; customers whose pressure would climb above 80 psi were offered pressure reducing valves, and more than 1,000 were installed at no cost.

DC Water's online problem report treats low water pressure as its own category, a sudden or gradual drop in the normal pressure on a property's internal plumbing, and files a loss of the public supply separately under No Water.
